More about pressure equipment inspections
Pressure equipment includes all installations and systems under pressure, such as piping systems, steam boilers, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and complete process installations through which water, air, gas, or other substances flow. This equipment must be legally inspected, both during new construction and throughout its entire service life.
ICI4YOU is designated as a CAB (Conformity Assessment Body) and is authorized to issue the CE mark. Below you will find the types of inspections we perform:
New Construction
For the new construction of pressure equipment, we provide the full conformity assessment. This includes the design review, production control, and the final inspection before commissioning, after which the CE mark is issued.
Inspection Before Commissioning
New pressure equipment must be assessed before being put into service. We verify, among other things, whether the documentation is complete and correct, such as CE declarations, manuals, and inspection reports. In addition, we assess whether the installation meets all legal safety requirements and whether risks to users and the environment have been excluded.
Re-inspection
Periodic re-inspections are legally required during the service life. The frequency depends on legal requirements, the intensity of use, and the operating conditions of your installation.
Repair
After a repair to pressure equipment, a reassessment is necessary to ensure that the installation still functions safely and falls within the original design specifications.
Modification
When you wish to modify existing pressure equipment, it must be assessed whether the modification meets all technical and legal requirements before the installation may be put back into service.
Conformity Assessment (PED 2014/68/EU)
As an EU CAB, we perform conformity assessments according to the PED modules: module A2 (internal production control), module B (EU Type Examination), module C2 (supervised product checks), module F (product verification), and module G (unit verification).
The legal requirements are laid down in the Commodities Act Decree on Pressure Equipment 2016 and the associated Commodities Act Regulations, based on European regulations.

Storage tanks fall under a separate inspection regime. ICI4YOU is designated to perform inspections on storage tanks, as a supplement to the existing designation for pressure equipment. The application process takes place via the same digital portal, with targeted questions specific to storage tanks.
New Construction and Major Reconstruction
Assessment of new-build storage tanks or major reconstructions, including verification of design, fabrication, and the inspection before commissioning.
Fixed-term and Flexible-term Re-inspection
Periodic re-inspection of existing storage tanks, both according to fixed terms and flexible terms based on risk assessment, to ensure they remain safe for use.
Repair and Modification
Following repairs or modifications to storage tanks, a reassessment is necessary before the tank can be put back into service.
Entry Inspection
An entry inspection determines whether a storage tank is suitable and safe to be put into service, in accordance with all applicable legal requirements.
Validation of RBI Method for Storage Tanks
ICI4YOU validates Risk Based Inspection (RBI) methods for storage tanks. With a validated RBI method, you can align the inspection frequency with the actual risk profile of your tank, leading to more efficient inspection planning.

Outside Designation
Independent inspections commissioned by a client at a third party. For objective verification of products or installations, including international projects.

At ICI4YOU, we perform independent inspections on installations, components, and processes, even when these fall outside our scope of designation. These inspections are intended for situations where designation is not required, but an objective and expert assessment is crucial.
Third-party inspection
When a client has a product manufactured by an external supplier, they want to be certain that the end result meets the specified requirements. ICI4YOU performs an independent on-site inspection at that supplier and verifies quality and conformity.
Independent Verification
As an independent third party, we have no interest in the outcome. This guarantees an objective assessment that both the client and the supplier can rely on.
Our inspectors assess technical systems, components, and operational workflows based on relevant international guidelines and applied industry standards. The scope is determined per assignment in consultation with the client.
