At ICI4YOU, you can rely on us for your inspections.

For the safety of critical installations and equipment, the government has established rules and frameworks. The Steam Act was a Dutch law first enacted in 1824 that regulated safety requirements for steam boilers and steam engines. In recent years, the regulations in the field of safety have expanded. The Commodities Act Decree on Pressure Equipment 2016 (WBDA 2016) and the Commodities Act Regulation on Pressure Equipment 2016 (WRDA 2016) came into effect on July 19, 2016.

By having inspections of pressure vessels, pressure pipelines, and other pressure equipment performed by us, you take the first step towards compliance with Dutch and European legislation on pressure equipment.

Inspection Types:

Pre-Commissioning Inspection: New equipment must be assessed before it is put into use. This involves checking if all components are CE marked in accordance with PED 2014/68/EU and if all design parameters match the execution.

Operational Phase Inspection: During its lifespan, pressure equipment must be regularly inspected. The re-inspection frequency depends on the equipment.

Repairs and Modifications: If an installation is repaired or modified, a re-assessment is necessary.

As EU-CBI, we can offer the following modules to comply with the 2014/68/EC (PED) for pressure equipment and assemblies;

  • Module A2 – Internal production control + supervised pressure equipment checks
  • Module B – EU type examination (production type)
  • Module B – EU type examination (design type)
  • Module C2 – Conformity to type + supervised product checks
  • Module F – Conformity based on pressure equipment verification
  • Module G – Conformity based on unit verification
